Basically, it shows the Doom Syndicate in prison shortly before they’re broken out AGAIN!! Who broke them out? A floating brain in a jar calling itself Machiavillain. He assumes leadership over the Doom Syndicate as he reveals himself to be Megamind’s mentor; the one who taught him everything he knows about being a villain! THE END CREDITS SCENE BASICALLY RETCONS HALF OF MEGAMIND’S BACKSTORY!!!!

what is actually the “climax” of descendants 4 feels more like the small fight before the big buildup to confront the big bad. I genuinely had to take a walk and process the fact this movie feels that unfinished.

I don’t understand Mal’s whole character arc in the 3rd movie. It feels so unnecessarily dramatic. I would’ve thought that after her character progression in the 2nd movie she would’ve wanted to stand up for the VK’s still left on the isle more than ever before. Instead it feels like her progression went backwards in the 3rd movie just to have more at stake.

I will say the 3rd Descendants movie felt very different from the others and quite a bit of a step down from the 2nd, but the music still slappppssss ✨

If you think the grandma was psycho here, my grandma used to chase people around my neighborhood with a grass cutter machete for being loud and drunk, of course she didn't kill anyone, but she was the one that made my whole neighborhood the quietest and once she went abroad, the neighborhood just burst with music and parties. I love visiting her in America and hearing her stories, because I also experienced her wrath 😅

the conflict in descendants 3 was entirely nonsensical, firstly, why was the wand protected by a forcefield but maleficents sceptre wasn't, secondly, if they had the sceptre in the museum why wasn't hades ember, thrird, why were they turning to mal for answers and not the king of the kingdom, when evie assumed mal stood up for the VK's why didnt mal think "oh, maybe it isnt a good idea", when they discovered audrey was the one who stole the crown and sceptre not Uma why didnt mal think "oh, the danger didnt come from the isle", and then when everything came out why didnt she just U-turn on her original, shitty idea. But also, just as closing the barrier forever is a bad idea as is bringing it down forever, the villains still committed horrible crimes, like, cruella still skinned dogs, jafar still did whatever he did, the evil queen still killed snow white, ursula still stole ariels voice and tried to take over the kingdom, the bad things still happened and they shouldnt be forgiven just because hades saved audreys life. And audrey should be In prison, use of magic with ill intent, breaking and entering, burgalary, and technically, murder, because idk abt you but if i got turned to stone i dont think my heart would be beating

honestly in my opinion i don’t think as a kid descendants 3 was that bad, but compared to that new atrocity its way better. i would’ve def been unhappy if i was a kid watching that mess.. it just didn’t feel descendants
